It is closely linked to the concepts of responsibility, praise, guilt, sin, and other judgments which apply only to actions that are freely chosen. It is also connected with the concepts of advice, persuasion, deliberation, and prohibition. WebbOne of the main arguments for the existence of free will is that it is necessary for moral responsibility. If our actions and choices are predetermined by external factors, then we cannot be held morally responsible for them. If we are not morally responsible for our actions, then the concept of punishment and reward becomes meaningless.
